I’m a qualified Dru Yoga teacher, Children’s yoga teacher having trained with Yoga Bugs and Calm for Kids, and a Yoga Therapist for Infants & Children with Special Needs. To compliment my yoga I have studied as a Thai Yoga Massage Therapist and Indian Head massage therapist. I have completed Reiki 1 and 2 in the Usui/Tibetan Reiki style.
Dru yoga is a graceful & potent form of yoga, based on flowing movements, directed breathing & visualisation. Dru works on body, mind & spirit – improving strength & flexibility, creating core stability, building a heightened feeling of positivity, deeply relaxing & rejuvenating your whole being. It has been called ‘Yoga of the heart’. It is a more spiritual form of yoga, going deep within, helping you to overcome everything life throws at us.
I initially found yoga for myself as stress relief from the corporate world and looking after ailing parents. Reaping the benefits, I felt I would like to introduce these initially to children, (I was a Brownie guider at the time). I have since progressed to working with children with special needs, adults and pregnancy yoga. Whilst treating clients, I discovered I was channeling healing energy and became interested in this form of healing. Traditional Thai massage is given with loving kindness, Metta, and clients have commented on how hot my hands became and that they felt very relaxed.
I now run spiritual development workshops and courses through Thirdeye Events, which are held in the Yoga Room.
If you are looking for inner peace, flexibility, strength and to meet others on a similar path, come along and experience the essence of Dru Yoga or even a workshop.
