What is Thai Yoga Bodywork/Massage?
Thai Yoga massage is an ancient healing art based on the principles of loving kindness and compassion. The Monks in the Temples of Thailand practiced it originally as a spiritual practice, where people could go for spiritual, physical and emotional healing. It combines acupressure, reflexology, assisted progressive stretching and yoga.
During your Thai massage I will use my feet, elbows, palms, thumbs and knees to apply pressure. The sequences of stretching and pressure work are given in a smooth and harmonious way, generating a feeling of deep relaxation and balance within the body.
Thai massage is given with you fully clothed on a comfortable mattress on the floor. Your Thai massage can last between 1 1/2—2 1/2 hours. Your whole body is treated, starting at the feet, ending with a relaxing face and head massage.

What does Thai Yoga Bodywork do?
Thai Yoga massage helps to balance the mind and body by releasing blockages along the Sen lines (energy lines similar to meridians) Using acupressure, reflexology and stretches, the Thai practitioner releases any stress or tension within the body, helping stimulate the natural flow of energy (Prana).
Thai Yoga massage is unique as it helps to deeply relax the body and at the same time restores energy. The overall effect is very balancing, releases toxins and increases a sense of wellbeing, as well as helping to improve your posture.
Over a period of time, the balancing effects of a whole body Thai massage are experienced; therefore it is particularly beneficial when received as a course of treatment.
Who is Thai Yoga Bodywork for?
Similar to yoga, Thai Yoga bodywork/massage can be of benefit to everyone. Sequences can be adapted to individual needs, regardless of age and flexibility.

Thai Foot Massage is a massage of the lower legs and feet that involves hands on stretching and massage to “open” Sen (energy) Lines, stimulating the reflex points on the feet to promote general health & wellbeing.
A Treatment in Thai Foot Massage will usually last for one hour and can also incorporate massaging of the hands and sometimes the shoulders too. A face massage can be included for a purely luxurious massage!
Thai Foot Massage takes it’s origins from China where the art has been practiced for over 5000 years, and Thai Foot Massage, as seen everywhere in Thailand today, has developed from Chinese, Japanese, and Korean foot masseuses.
Traditional Thai Massage and Thai Foot Massage compliment each other beautifully. Thai Massage balances the elements of the mind and body, while Thai Foot Massage stimulates the internal organs, giving the receiver an holistic treatment.

Reflexology used to be my favourite treatment, until I tried Sue’s Thai Foot Massage! HEAVENLY! One day I was feeling like ‘meh’, I had a TFM and felt so much better afterwards. I now have one regularly. Gilly.
I love Sue’s Thai Foot Massage! The pressure applied is always just right, helps me to feel really relaxed, Sue has a wonderful calming manner and healing hands like little radiators! Cindy.
Sue was fantastic! I felt so much lighter and in tune with myself following her Thai Yoga Massage. The stretching and pressure points released all my tension and I floated away. Thank you. Jen x
I love the arm and hand massage, who would know how much tension is held in the hands. My arms don’t feel like they belong to me, they’re so light! Finn
I booked in with Sue as I was in so much pain in my shoulders and neck, a desk job didn’t help. I’d not had a Thai Massage before, so didn’t know what to expect. Sue worked first on my shoulders and neck then my legs and back. Initially I wondered why, but as the treatment progressed I felt a release in my back up to my neck! I hadn’t realised the tension in my legs either. Afterwards, I felt a lot lighter and able to stand upright again. Sue did say to rest and that the healing would continue. To my amazement, a couple of days later I’d forgotten about the pain I was in. I’ve re-booked! Thanks Sue. JH.
